Announcing the 2017 Bowl-A-Thon!
Announcing the Women’s Medical Fund Bowl-A-Thon! Get ready to lace up your bowling shoes and head to the alley to fund abortion and have a kickass time doing so! For #Bowl17, we are dreaming big as we fund abortion and build power. We are setting bigger goals than ever before as we fight back against the political tide and work our ways towards a more just and equitable world, in which everyone has access to the abortion they need.
We’re working together to raise $10,000 for Wisconsin women in need. On Sunday April 23, 2017 from 2:30-5pm, we'll celebrate our movement to ensure abortion access with a fun, feminist Bowl-A-Thon in Madison. How will you contribute?
Become a captain, join a team, fundraise, or donate. Join in today, and we’ll see you at the bowling alley on April 23!

But Wait...What is the Bowl-A-Thon? In a nutshell, people raise money for Women’s Medical Fund, bowl on April 23 from 2:30-5pm in Madison, and have an awesome time!
It’s a great way for supporters like you to represent Women’s Medical Fund. By using our online fundraising site, you will be able to set up your own personalized fundraising page to benefit WMF. You can then direct your friends and family to it via email. You’ll also be able to easily post your personalized donate link to your social networking pages.
All of your fundraising is done before the event. On April 23, the day of the Bowl-a-Thon, you simply show up and have a great time!
Bowl-a-Thon = protecting abortion access + having a blast!
But Why Should I Bowl for Abortion Access? Wisconsin has among the most restrictive abortion laws in the nation. Low-income and rural women are particularly hard hit by these laws. Since 1972, WMF has helped more than 20,000 women receive the healthcare they need. By leading your own team or by participating, you'll expand our reach, making a direct impact and a statement about your belief in reproductive justice.
What Do Team Captains Do? Team captains lead the charge. They will recruit and lead 4 or 5 bowling buddies for their team. Team captains will also make sure their bowling buddies meet their personal fundraising goals. Captains will be the primary contact for the event. We’ll make it so easy for you!
Sounds Awesome! How Do I Captain a Team? Just register! Once you register, you can use our online system to send emails to friends and family asking them to support your team by pledging to increase access to abortion. It's so easy! Sign up at bit.ly/bowlwmf
